HOW WILL MY NEWÂ GARAGE DOOR BE FITTED?
The garage doors available from Barracuda Garage Doors will be attached to your garage space using high-security durable fixings through the side channels and plates - these can be mounted between or behind your piers to allow the door to open and close. The standard height electric operator fixings used will be dependent on the existing type of garage you have; however, we are proud to say that there is no difference in cost between the various wall-mounted fixings!
For these types of garage door openings, the following are the most common:
For brick-built garages, the installation professional from Barracuda Garage Doors will use masonry fixings.
For wooden timber garages, the installation professional from Barracuda Garage Doors will use woodscrews.
For steel buildings, the installation professional from Barracuda Garage Doors will use self-drilling screws.
For pre-cast concrete garages, the installation professional from Barracuda Garage Doors will use either coach bolts or new timber frame UPVC cladding - this will be at the installer's discretion.

No, but we do need you to be there once the installation is complete.
Is there anything I should be doing between your team’s visits to maintain my door?
The door should be washed with car shampoo or similar, EVERY TWO MONTHS, to prevent the build up of dirt, salt, and other corrosive substances. If the door is in an area prone to coastal corrosion from airbourne salts the door should be cleaned monthly. Furthermore, cleaning lifting gear with a cloth soaked in light oil will help to protect your door from corrosion - it must be accepted that salt air is very aggressive and extra care is required.
Ash, cement, dust, animal waste, or foreign substances should be removed immediately.
